Brown Construction has long been an avid supporter of workforce development programs in the construction industry, in an effort to remedy the workforce shortage that has become a generational crisis. To this end, our executives and staff have served on the boards of the Sacramento Regional Builders Exchange (SRBX) Educational Foundation and the CREATE Mentoring Program for many years.  Each year, Brown Construction sponsors the SRBX Educational Foundation's annual Design-Build Competition. The two-day competition is held at Cosumnes River College and this year more than 200 youth participated on 15 high school and youth program teams. Brown Construction, Inc. was proud to sponsor the Winters High School team by providing the materials they needed to complete their 96-square-foot shed.

Brown Construction, along with owner partners Shea Properties and Ivanhoe Cambridge and San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo, were honored at today's grand opening of Ascent Apartments.  Brown Construction received high praise from the ownership group for their excellent performance on the project.

“Brown Construction, Inc. performed very well and handled all costs with complete transparency. They helped us cut a lot of costs and bring the project back into budget through effective VE. Their field management including safety and quality control were very good. We would use Brown Construction again in the East Bay and Central Valley areas.”

“Brown Construction has constructed a multitude of high-quality projects for the UC Davis campus. Their level of customer service and quality is consistent and reliable.”

Brown Construction, along with Rep. Ken Calvert and representatives of the Coachella Valley Housing Coalition, U.S.VETS and the March Joint Powers Authority will celebrate the groundbreaking of 138 units of housing for Veterans Monday, November 9th at 10 am on March Air Reserve Base in Riverside County. Known as March Veterans Village, the first 138 units, which Brown Construction is contracted to build, will provide decent, safe, permanent affordable housing for previously homeless veterans, and veterans and their families. When fully built out, the Village will also house 60 veterans in transitional housing.

Brown Construction executives, including President and CEO Ron Brown, proudly joined Cannery Place developer/owner team, Township 9 Affordable Housing Partners LP, and project architect Bob Kuchman on the morning of September 30 at McClellan Park as their massive joint effort—Cannery Place—was awarded affordable housing project of the year by the Sacramento Business Journal.

It’s the structure that has everyone talking: what is that thing they’re building down by the river? The enigmatic, organically-shaped, wood-framed structure rising up next to the west bank of the Sacramento River can be seen by Highway 50 drivers heading west over the river, with a giant Brown Construction sign displayed proudly in front of it.  No, it’s not a spaceship.  No, it’s not a hobbit village.  It’s called “The Barn” and we at Brown Construction are very excited to be building this first-of-its-kind structure here in our very own backyard.
